This back issue of Woman's Day Super Special Holiday Crafts & Granny Squares is just packed with afghans, home decor, ornaments and garments to make for a special holiday season.  This back issue is from September 1991, but the patterns are still in demand today; just look at that wonderful Pine Tree afghan on the cover!  Find it on the online shelves of Pokey Pokey Needlecraft shop.

A sewing pattern with just ONE pattern piece!

Imagine getting four looks from just one pattern piece....this is The Any Way Top, a Butterick 5371 sewing pattern.  The listing indicates that the pattern is for size Petite, but any clever sewist could enlarge that single pattern piece to suit their size.  It's now on the online shelf at Pokey Pokey Needlecraft Shop.

The circle of fashion.....

This vintage (80's) sewing pattern is Butterick 6381, to create a blouse with a triangle-shaped cutout at the front collar.  This is a style I have seen just lately on the racks!   This pattern gives you sleeve and design options though, to truly make it your own.  Find it at Pokey Pokey Needlecraft Shop:

If you're plus size, you know that it's difficult to find stylish garments in quality fabrics at an affordable price.  If you are lucky enough to be a sewist, I've just added some plus-size sewing patterns to the online shelves at Pokey Pokey Needlecraft Shop, so that you can make fashionable clothing in your own colors and style. Vintage Simplicity Sewing Patterns

What I like the best about the vintage sewing patterns from Simplicity are those thick, dark, easy-to-see cutting lines on the pattern pieces (nowdays, the lines are as thick as a hair, and the tissue paper has gotten thinner, if that's even possible!).  And the 'Jiffy' collections were amazing, using only two or three main pattern pieces for construction.  These vintage Simplicity sewing patterns are just a few added to the online shelves at Pokey Pokey Needlecraft Shop:
