Hand-knit clothing for Blythe, Barbie and Liv dolls...

Despite the fact that I have to wear magnifiers (just to ensure I don't split a stitch), I really do enjoy knitting these tiny dresses for dolls.  Working with Size 1 and Size 0 knitting needles is a bit easier than I thought it would be; I thought it would be like knitting with two pieces of wire, and uncomfortable.

The Cold Weather is Lingering, so Fight Back with an Afghan!

That cold weather just won't seem to go away, so time to fight back with a warm, cozy afghan!  It sits on your lap as you work on it (knit or crochet), and will warm you forever once you're finished.  Here are some of the latest out-of-print afghan pattern books on the Pokey Pokey Needlecraft Shop shelves.  And if you're REALLY ambitious (and need some cash), you can sell your lovelies at Etsy, Gypsy Spoonful, or other handmade selling site!

Faux Macrame Knitted Cowl Pattern

Macraknit Cowl with Fringe
Ascot, scarf, cowl, neck warmer:  no matter what you call it, it's the best cold-weather fashion accessory you could want!  First of all, with a traditional long, knitted scarf, you have those two long ends to flap around and get in the way.  Secondly, a cowl looks great whether peaking out from under your coat, or just worn over a sweater or top.

This cowl pattern features a richly textured stitch that resembles macrame.  The pattern is rated as Easy; you can even do it while you watch TV.  So now, there's no excuse to not whip up a few for gifts in their favorite colors, and to outfit yourself with a richly textured fashion accessory!  Find the pattern in my Craftsy shop (Busy Crow Studio); or at Etsy (Craftique Redux).
