City of Rancho Cucamonga, California - Class Act
While driving down Haven Ave. in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California, I noticed large white banners with full color portraits of men and women in their military uniforms. No matter how you feel about the war, the fact that this city chose to honor these young men and women in this fashion is fantastic. The top of the banner reads, "Rancho Cucamonga Honors", and under the photo is the name of the soldier. It's a bittersweet feeling, though, considering that some of these young people will not return home. But, it does show them as real young men and women, not just 'numbers of troops'.
